The no-God delusion

I hear tell that Richard Dawkins, atheist and author of "The God Delusion" has rewritten Genesis one. It goes like this:

In the beginning was the singularity. And instability vibrated within its core. And the singularity said, "Let me inflate", and it inflated. But the inflation was without light and form. And the inflation said, "Let light escape, let me turn into hydrogen, and let me coalesce into vast clumps of hydrogenous matter and let space separate them. And it was so. And the inflation said, "Let gravity exist". And it was so. And the billions of cloudy clumps contracted under the force of their own gravity, and made galaxies. And the galaxies said, "Let us break up into stars". And it was so. And the stars said, "Let us make other elements in our midst". And it was so. And some stars said, "Let us spin off some of our new elements, and make rocky planets". And it was so. And some rocky planets said, "Let us suck water out of heaven, and clothe ourselves in seas". And it was so. And on one planet, earth, a spark of life was struck. And the life said, "Let me grow ever more complex, and spin off new and wonderful grasses and herbs, creeping things, sea monsters, birds to fly in the skies above and four-footed creatures to walk on the earth beneath". And it was so. And slowly, over millions of years, sex came into being, and males and females of all that lived on the face of the earth. And the inflation never rested, but continues to create wondrous new creatures to this day.

Stop and think. Herein lies a simple truth. The universe and you exist, but neither the universe nor you have

existed forever. Some "first cause" or other absolutely, unquestionably, indubitably, incontrovertibly preceded all that is. Atheists are unwilling to recognize the obvious - everything we see around us speaks of order and design that testify to an unimaginably powerful intelligence. They prefer Dawkins One over Genesis One not because the evidence compels it, but because they simply cannot (or will not) conceive of such a glorious "being". They prefer to stand in awe of an eternal, unstable singularity than to worship Him who is blessed forevermore. Nuts, utter nuts. And even if the Big Bang hypothesis outlined above could somehow have occurred (which it cannot), and thus explain "the origin" of the universe, it fails to explain the origin of the origin. Where did the singularity come from? Well did the apostle Paul say,

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since [as a result of] the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man - and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things (Rom. 1:18-23).

No God? What a delusion.
