Could this be the real Mt Sinai (circled in yellow)? It's about six miles from where you are standing, which is the
possible camping site used by the Israelites. It is in Saudi Arabia, but is not Jebel el Lawz, the site favored by most
advocates of a Saudi Arabian connection for Sinai. It is almost 7,900 feet high, while the camping area is at an
elevation of about 700 feet. Its location will be identified in a future Dawn to Dusk article on the topic. The
photo below shows the same peak from a different perspective and marks the probable route Moses
would have taken to reach its summit.
